Task 1: Build and Simulate an MLAG Setup Using Community SONiC

The Community SONiC virtual switch image has not yet been fully tested. The objective was to build the SONiC virtual switch image and simulate an MLAG setup using GNS3.

Subtasks

1. Configured the temporary ALASCA Hackathon server to support the SONiC build process.
2. Built the Community SONiC virtual switch image on the server.
3. Installed and configured GNS3 on the test server.
4. Simulated an MLAG setup using two redundant virtual switches.

Task 2: Test Interoperability Between Enterprise SONiC and Community SONiC

The objective is to compare Enterprise SONiC and Community SONiC and verify whether they can operate together in the same network setup.

Subtasks

1. Install Community SONiC on one physical switch.
2. Install Enterprise SONiC on another physical switch.
3. Configure both switches and test interoperability between them.
4. Compare their features, configuration behaviour, stability, and compatibility.
